Our selected strain of Piracicaba – a type of mini broccoli bred in Brazil. Sidekick produces large quantities of sweet and tender florets on very large, high-yielding plants. Selected for upright growth habit, uniform dark green heads, and strong side-shoot production. If harvested regularly, Sidekick will produce abundant side shoots for at least a month. Sowing Method : Sow directly outdoors or transplant. For transplant, sow 2 seeds per cell in 72-cell flats, ¼ inch deep. Seedlings ready in 3–4 weeks. Space rows 18–36 inches apart, transplant 12–18 inches apart for Sidekick.

Harvest : Cut stems of central head and side shoots before flower buds open. Stems 4–8 inches can be bunched. Harvest side shoots every 2–3 days in warm weather.

Pest Resistance : Exceptionally resistant – flea beetles and cabbage worms are rarely seen with minimal care. Use floating row cover at planting for protection.
